DescriptionIs directed by the Secretary of State for War to acknowledge the receipt of his letter of the 9th, and to inform him in reply, that, when submitting the resignation of the Commission held by Colonel the Earl of Sandwich, Commanding the 5th Battalion of the King's Royal Rifle Corps, the Secretary of State will recommend to the Queen that the Earl be appointed Honorary Colonel of the Battalion.
