DescriptionGives further examples of the unpreparedness for service of certain companies etc. because they had to supply men and horses to the forces going to Egypt. The 74th Highlanders of his Brigade, who are about to embark, are Scottish to the backbone, but they have now been ordered to recruit any nationality, much to the disgust of their Colonel. Agrees that the Household Cavalry Brigade are out of place on the sands of Egypt.
