Laxton will not reveal the other parties name, but stated it is a wealthy gentleman with estates in Kent. Hinted at surname hurridly, possibly Flyn. Asked if Burness would undertake the management of a farm or any farms along with the engineer. Answered that expected a salary of £300 per annum. Told Laxton he was looking for a situation and would close once a suitable proposal had been made.

Ends by asking the Duke to write back to Sir B.Wake.
