Description | Huntingdonshire Militia on parade at the Huntingdon Barracks. The drill ground was large enough to hold 400 men. Thirteen officers and the unidentified figure in a gown and a mortar board are grouped together in the foreground, with the Earl of Sandwich in the centre. The Militia Band can be seen on the right. Ernest Whitney has captioned this image "Hunts Militia May 1872 on the old Barracks sq." This image is identical to WH1/52 |
