TitleBrampton Park House.
DescriptionExterior view of Brampton Park House looking towards the library. The house was the home of Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow until her death in 1863, when it passed to the estate of the Duke of Manchester (Lady Olivia's daughter Millicent, who died in 1848, had been married to the 6th Duke). Lady Olivia commissioned John Nash to undertake work on the house in 1806-1808. It was also largely rebuilt in the Gothic style by Thomas Stedman Whitwell between 1821-1822. The house was mostly destroyed by fire in 1907. The remaining western range housed the Officers' Mess at R.A.F. Brampton until recently
