The records include: artist's notebook; annotated copy of the 1949 auction catalogue, including buyers and prices; correspondence with some of the artists taking part; draft grant applications; press releases, cuttings, notices, posters, flyers; draft of sale catalogue; annotated notes on the Castle's permanent art collection; installation plan for exhibiting lots; audio CDs containing interviews; VHS videos and colour transparencies of preparations for the sale and the sale itself; many printed items, including Old Kimboltonian Association magazines; all items 2000-2001.</dc:description>
